AV Yachts gave me a break from the real world for a day. Their guest was the owner and designer of Hydrolift Boats, which they represent in Bulgaria and Romania, Bard Eker. You may have heard about him, he is a favorite designer of those who love fast cars, boats and high speed.  He is the designer of the very exclusive Koenigsegg, which the men dream about and the woman dream about him the Class 1 world Champion.

In Qatar you had an accident - what happened? In the start  in Qatar in March we were third and fight for second place. I was very eager in one turn, you know these catamarans are made to go mainly ahead not to do turns. And speed is very high - about 250 km / h. We turned over and we were hanging upside down in our safety belts when the water filled our cockpit, and also with fuel from the fuel tanks. In such moments you not always can act instinctively, it is too easy forgot what exactly you should do. My throttlemen failed to take air and remained three minutes without oxygen into the water. I had air, but I had fuel in my eyes  and for some time I had problems with them.  My throttlemen, Chris Parsonage is  now almost ready to return.
Class 1 is often compared with Formula 1? You can not compare things, but in general this is the most rapid competition with boats with speeds of around 260 km / h, but this is really much in the water. As in Formula 1, this is not a "one man show".
