 The auditorium was opened on 24th June 2005, and was attended by the Norwegian Royal family through His Highness Crown Prince Haakon. The Offshore Simulation Centre features a 6x4.5m (20x15 ft) screen, and two projectiondesign F3 SXGA+ projectors, each unit equipped with filters for stereo separation, delivered by Infitec GmbH in Germany. The passive stereo solution allows a large audience to experience true immersive visualisation with simple means, a pair of special glasses is all that it requires.
