For the first time in history of the FIA Rallycross Cup a 'B' final was organised during the event at Höljes. This 'B' final was won by Norwegian Hans Kristian Ask (Ford Fiesta RWD).

 27 båter stilte til start i Hankø Pokerrun.
I strålende sol og flotte kjøreforhold stilte 27 båter opp til start
i Hankø Pokerrun. Arrangementet ble gjennomført strålende, og alle
deltagere var svært fornøyde. Ruten fra Hankø via Fredrikstad til
Strömstad og tilbake til Hankø hadde alt fra 5 knops grenser gjennom
Fredrikstad og inn i Strömstad, til steder der hastigheter på over 90
knop ble logget. Turen tilbake gikk utaskjærs, der båtene fikk luftet
seg i over en meter sjø. Noen av de mindre båtene valgte derfor en litt
mer beskyttet rute på nordsiden av Hvalerøyene.

 Last week end we had a sucessful sea trail in the bay outside Monaco together with our local representatives at Hydrolift Monaco. The weather showed Monaco from its brightest angle and the conditions were superb, except for the flat water which did not really give our hull quality a satisfactory challenge. The Boat for the sea trail was the C-31R with a 662 Mercruiser Racing engine equipped with a NXT stern drive. Many possible customers showed up and we think we have a great potential in the area.

 Bergen Poker Run 2008 became a great success with 20 exciting boats at the start. The arrangement committee with Bjarne Øen and Per Antonesen in charge did a superb job from start to finish. Aslak Olseth won the race just ahead of Claus Lundekvam who later during Saturday evening won the Poker Game. Everyone enjoyed a great party at the very beautiful Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri and are looking forward to Bergen Poker Run 2009.

 Per Nicklas Lööv (Citroën Xsara RWD) was a new face among the FIA Rallycross Cup drivers. As six drivers passed scrutineering and were allowed to take part in the event, it meant that for the first time the FIA Rallycross Cup was organised over more then one session in a qualification heat. Lööv, a Swede who lives in Norway and is driving with a Norwegian license, set immediately the fastest time in the official timed practice. During the first heats on Saturday afternoon held under the label "Wet Race" he set again the fastest time however, he finished behind Belgian Michaël De Keersmaecker (BMW 120) but the latter got a three seconds penalty due to a jump start.

 Hydrolift Fredrikstad had a very successful Open House on Saturday with half off on t-shirts and special deals on boats. The the weather was a little to good and there was a lot happening in Fredrikstad that day but the turn out was still good. There was icecream for the kids and rides around town the yellow Koenigsegg sports car.
