 Bergen Poker Run 2008 became a great success with 20 exciting boats at the start. The arrangement committee with Bjarne Øen and Per Antonesen in charge did a superb job from start to finish. Aslak Olseth won the race just ahead of Claus Lundekvam who later during Saturday evening won the Poker Game. Everyone enjoyed a great party at the very beautiful Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri and are looking forward to Bergen Poker Run 2009.

 Per Nicklas Lööv (Citroën Xsara RWD) was a new face among the FIA Rallycross Cup drivers. As six drivers passed scrutineering and were allowed to take part in the event, it meant that for the first time the FIA Rallycross Cup was organised over more then one session in a qualification heat. Lööv, a Swede who lives in Norway and is driving with a Norwegian license, set immediately the fastest time in the official timed practice. During the first heats on Saturday afternoon held under the label "Wet Race" he set again the fastest time however, he finished behind Belgian Michaël De Keersmaecker (BMW 120) but the latter got a three seconds penalty due to a jump start.

 Hydrolift Fredrikstad had a very successful Open House on Saturday with half off on t-shirts and special deals on boats. The the weather was a little to good and there was a lot happening in Fredrikstad that day but the turn out was still good. There was icecream for the kids and rides around town the yellow Koenigsegg sports car.

 Crown Princess Mette Marit visited the Eker Group Companies today and among them, Hydrolift. She is the Norwegian Design Council's high protector. After being guided through the production lines by Reidar Gjølstad, she enjoyed a ride in a C-31along with designer Bård Eker. Earlier she visited Eker Design in Torsnes and projectiondesign in Øra. She has always had an interest in design and is now trying to draw attention to good Norwegian design in an effort to stimulate growth both at home and abroad.

 Friday the 4th of March was the Grand Opening of Norsk Båtsenter Sport’s new marina on Engøy, just outside Stavanger centre. With boats on display both on water and in showrooms visitors could enjoy models from Hydrolift, Princess, Nidelv, Artic Blue, Askeladden and many more. Several car dealers were also represented which made this 3 day event a great experience.
Hydrolift wants to thank Aslak and his crew for 3 great days and congratulate Norsk Båtsenter and Norsk Båtsenter Sport on their unique new marina.
